For years, I had been doing a lot of consigning online, but I got really sick of shipping the items and things not selling. Once I decide I want to sell something, I want it out of my space that moment. Waiting and hoping for someone to buy my item just did not work anymore for me. I had been telling a co-worker how I needed to find a consignment shop and she suggested Chic Boutique Consignments. I looked into it and decided to give it a shot. The best part was I did not have to make an appointment to drop my items off, I just showed up and they went through everything with me. Most places you need an appointment and they can be booked so far out, again, when I want something gone, I want it gone then.
Chic Boutique Consignments has three locations, Bridgewater, MA, Tyngsboro, MA & Bedford, NH. They also have an online store and you can order directly from their Instagram or Facebook group. Because of their online presence and three locations, you are able to find a huge selection of amazing, discounted items as well as a larger audience to sell your items too. Below is a little more information on buying, selling and also a giveaway we are doing!
Selling: Once you drop off your items, (be sure to check out their "No Thank You" list to see what you should and should not bring in) they will create an account for new consignors that have 10 or more acceptable items. Once you have an account, you can bring even just one to two items in at a time. You will be able to view your items on your personal log in and see how your things are doing. what has sold, what is left and when your items will expire.
The consignments splits are based on the rules below:
$0-$99 40% to consignor, 60% to store
$100 + 50% to consignor, 50% to store
Shopping: I recently went into the store to pick up a check (YAY!) and was able to take a look at some of the items currently in store. Can you say, SIZE ENVY! I wished so bad this red lace DVF top fit me, or these gorgeous J.Crew gold sparkle shoes that would make any holiday outfit shine.
The jean selection was absolutely incredible including brands like PAIGE, Hudson and Kut from the Kloth and so many different options in all size ranges.
They also are a HUGE seller of my favorite, Lilly Pulitzer. I have been able to consign so many of my items through them that are Lilly!
I have been trying to get better about "less is more" especially when it comes to clothing and Chic Boutique Consignments has been such a help. My closet is shrinking and my wallet is growing.
